Can you deliver to a maternity ward in Switzerland?

Yes, if the hospital accepts flowers. Give the mother’s name, the hospital and the ward; the bouquet is handed to reception, which passes it on.

What if mother and baby are already home?

Then we deliver to their home address. If you are unsure whether they are still in hospital, choose the home address from the start and a date after their return.

When do I need to order from the US or the UK?

Before 4 pm Swiss time on the day before an available date, for delivery Tuesday to Saturday. That is usually 10 am on the US East Coast and 3 pm in the UK.

Will the parents pay customs duties?

No. The bouquet is arranged in Switzerland and delivered within Switzerland. Nothing crosses a border.

Can I order before the baby is born?

Yes. Dates can be booked up to 15 days ahead. Choose a day after the due date and the home address.

Which colors work if I do not know the baby’s sex?

Light mixed tones, or a bouquet in white, yellow and green, always work. Flower varieties follow the season; you choose the color and size.

Hospital or home? Choose the safer address

Due dates are estimates, and a hospital stay in Switzerland often lasts only two or three days. From abroad it is hard to know whether mother and baby are still on the ward. If you are not sure, deliver to their home: pick a day after they are back, up to 15 days ahead.

If you would rather send to the hospital, give the mother’s name, the hospital and the ward. We hand the bouquet to reception, and staff take it from there. Check first that the ward accepts flowers, as not all of them do.

Your words for the new parents

The baby’s name, a line for the parents, a note from grandparents abroad: write on the card what you would say on the phone. It travels with the bouquet and is usually the first thing they read.

If you do not know the baby’s sex, or would rather not make a point of it, a light mixed bouquet suits every family. You pay in Swiss francs; if your card is in dollars or pounds, your bank sets the exchange rate.
