How to send flowers to someone in Switzerland
You do not need a Swiss address of your own to send a bouquet to someone there. This guide walks through the practical details: the recipient’s address, Swiss delivery times, your card message and payment in francs.

1. Choose for the person, then check the product details
Start with the occasion and the colors they enjoy. Read the bouquet description and compare the available sizes before choosing. Seasonal stems can change, so use the photograph as a guide to the style rather than assuming every variety will be identical.

2. Enter a Swiss delivery address, not your own
Keep your own email address in the buyer details so you can receive order information. Use the recipient’s details for delivery, and check that browser autofill has not replaced them with your home address.
- Recipient’s full name, matching the doorbell where possible.
- Street name followed by the building number.
- Four-digit postal code followed by the Swiss town.
- Their phone number with the +41 code, so the courier can reach them on the day.
- Company, department or useful access details when needed.
- The form has separate fields for an access code, floor, building and door: fill in the ones you know.
Plan the delivery and make it personal
3. Check the delivery calendar in Swiss time
Outside the Geneva area, bouquet deliveries run Tuesday to Saturday, and the order must be in by 4 pm Swiss time on the day before the date you pick. In the local Geneva area, same-day delivery may be offered before 2 pm, Monday to Saturday.
Check the current time in Zurich if you are ordering from another time zone. Daylight-saving changes can alter the difference between your clock and ours. Booking an available date up to 15 days ahead is often simpler than trying to meet a last-minute cut-off.
The date selected in the calendar is the one that counts. Writing another date in the card message or delivery notes does not change the booking. Contact the team before paying if the calendar does not offer what you need.
4. Write the card in the language you share
Use the language your recipient understands, not the one you assume from their postal code. Switzerland is multilingual, and someone living in Zurich may prefer a message in English or French.
A short, specific message feels personal: mention the occasion or something you look forward to doing together. Sign your name if you want the sender to be clear, and check spelling before continuing. The card options are shown during the order.
Check the cost and prepare for delivery
5. Review the CHF total before paying
Check the bouquet size, delivery charge and any extras. Outside the canton of Geneva, standard bouquet delivery costs CHF 14.90 for the 7 am to 6 pm slot, or CHF 5 more for 7 am to noon. The order summary shows the applicable total before payment.
If your card is linked to an account in another currency, your bank converts the amount at its own rate and may add a fee; both appear on your statement. Keep the order confirmation so you have the reference and delivery details to hand.
6. Make sure the address can receive flowers
For an office, include the company name and check that reception will be open. At a residential building, useful doorbell or access information is more helpful than a vague instruction to “leave somewhere safe”.
If you discover an address problem or need to change something, contact KANEL promptly with the order reference. A last-minute change or a second delivery attempt is not always possible, so check with us before telling the recipient when to expect the flowers.
On the day itself, a tracking link sent by SMS and e-mail shows where the delivery has got to. When nobody answers, the courier can phone the number in the delivery details; our terms then allow the bouquet to be left in a safe place, with a neighbour or at a reception.
